DESCRIPTION:Abstract: Development and deployment of large language models 
 (LLMs) is progressing at breakneck pace. This reading group session will i
 nvolve two components. First\, I’ll give a whirlwind tour of several rec
 ent advances around LLMs (e.g.\, prompting\; various model fine-tuning met
 hods\; model editing) and continued challenges (e.g.\, adequate evaluation
 \; uncertainty communication). However\, this will cover only a comparativ
 ely small handful of recent developments and questions! The breadth\, ferv
 or\, and (arguably) chaos surrounding LLM developments motivates the secon
 d component: an open conversation on what to make of the pace in the space
 \, as ML researchers and community members. Hopefully we can have a lively
  conversation!
