DESCRIPTION:In this talk Dr Nathaniel Read will outline why we need nuclea
 r energy to achieve net zero and discuss frequently-raised issues such as 
 safety\, waste\, cost and sustainability. The talk will also cover the pos
 sible role of ‘advanced nuclear’ and where fusion might fit in.\n\nDr 
 Nathaniel Read is a research associate in Nuclear Reactor Safety Analysis 
 in the Nuclear Energy Group at the Department of Engineering at the Univer
 sity of Cambridge. His primary research interests are in safety assessment
  methods for nuclear systems and nuclear space power applications. He is a
 lso a lecturer on the Nuclear Energy MPhil course.
