DESCRIPTION:In this talk will cover a randomization method I've suggested
a few years ago to establish a null model for observed encounters in spati
al proximity social networks (Spiegel et al 2016 Method Ecol Evol). Then\,
some applications of this approach to real-life animal systems (Spiegel e
t al 2018 Anim Behav). And also a few recent attempts to infer the context
of different interaction types and their relative contribution to the ove
rall social structure (Sharma et al 2022 Ecol& Evol\; Webber et al 2023 Bi
 ol Reviews)
