DESCRIPTION:Some stochastic systems exhibit an approximate oscillatory beh
 aviour\, even when the deterministic system that corresponds to its macros
 copic limit is not oscillatory. We will see how to characterize such behav
 iour for two-components systems\, of the kind generally used in population
  dynamics\, chemical kinetics\, epidemiology\, etc. Even if the motivation
  for this study originated in the existence of quasi-cyclic epidemics\, th
 e results are of much more general application.
