DESCRIPTION:Buildings (as one might expect) are highly symmetrical objects
  consisting of apartments and chambers. They include projective planes\, t
 rees and various space tessellations. This talk we be a short introduction
  to buildings from a geometric perspective. We will see some examples with
  different geometries\, what their ‘building blocks’ are and how those
  blocks determine a building. Further\, we will examine the links and obse
 rve the CAT(ϰ) properties of buildings.
