DESCRIPTION:CMB spectral distortions are now recognized as a powerful prob
 e for early universe and particle physics. A lot of the work has focused o
 n understanding the formation of distortions and what these could teach us
  about the Universe we live it. In this talk\, I will give a very brief ov
 erview of these developments and then focus on some of the emerging synerg
 istic opportunities with CMB spectral distortions\, highlighting new links
  to 21cm cosmology and the great potential of CMB spectral distortion anis
 otropies.
