DESCRIPTION:High-energy physics theories motivates scenarios of inflation
different from the standard single-field slow-roll paradigm. In this talk\
, I will discuss some features of multiple-field inflation with non standa
rd kinetic terms. These models can in particular generate primordial densi
ty fluctuations with a large non-Gaussian component that could be detected
by forthcoming experiments like the Planck\nsatellite. Special emphasis w
ill be given to multifield Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) inflation which is a st
 ring-inspired scenario in which a D3-brane moves in a higher-dimensional s
 pacetime.
