DESCRIPTION:Biography\n\nHenry M. Colecraft\, Ph.D. is the John C. Dalton
Professor and Associate Vice Chair in the Department of Physiology and Cel
lular Biophysics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The Colecra
ft laboratory focuses on the molecular physiology of ion channel proteins
that underlie signaling in nerve cells and the heart. His research group h
as contributed seminal advances to understanding molecular mechanisms unde
rlying regulation of voltage-dependent Ca2+ and K+ channels by accessory s
ubunits\, posttranslational modifications\, and signaling molecules. His g
roup also studies how inherited mutations in ion channels lead to devastat
ing diseases that span the cardiovascular\, neurological\, and respiratory
systems\, and seeking new therapies for them. \n\nZoom link: https://zoom
