star - Clement Baruteau (IRAP\, Toulouse)

DESCRIPTION:This presentation will start by discussing what exoplanets and
protoplanetary discs observations can tell us about planet formation and
orbital evolution. I will then present some of our recent work on how plan
etary migration impacts the dynamics and the emission of gas and dust in p
rotoplanetary discs. I will more particularly focus on the possibility tha
t a single giant planet may acquire a substantial eccentricity in its prot
oplanetary disc\, and what observational signatures this mechanism predict
 s. I finally intend to present ongoing work on tidally-forced inertial wav
es in differentially rotating stars and planets.
