DESCRIPTION:For long\, the solar system was considered a template for plan
et formation in the Cosmos. Recent exoplanet discoveries have challenged t
hat view. My team at Birmingham is investigating the outcome of planet for
mation in various settings. We photometrically target the smallest stars o
f our galaxy with the SPECULOOS network to seek Earth-like planets\, and c
onfirm long-period gas-giant & Neptune candidates with the ASTEP telescope
in Antarctica. Meanwhile\, we search and find circumbinary planets with r
 adial-velocities using HARPS and SOPHIE.\nIn this talk\, I will describe o
ur activities in Birmingham and recent results obtained by the instruments
  we have access to.
