DESCRIPTION:We will review some mathematical results on a class of lattice
  gas dynamics which can be described by reaction-diffusion equations at a 
 macroscopic scale. For these models\, the large deviation functional can a
 lso be computed rigorously. In the last part of the talk\, we will explain
  how these microscopic dynamics can be modified in order to exhibit phenom
 ena reminiscent of active matter (MIPS and collective motion).
