DESCRIPTION:We consider what properties of Fano varieties\nremain unchange
 d under nearby deformations of the\nvariety. For mildly singular Fano vari
 eties\,\nde Fernex and Hacon showed that the nef cone\n(or\, dually\, the 
 cone of curves)\nremains unchanged under deformations\nwhen the variety ha
 s dimension at most 3. We show\nthat the nef cone can jump in dimension 4.
