DESCRIPTION:The recent discovery of superconductivity in La3Ni2O7 with Tc 
 ~ 80 K under high pressure opens up a new route to high-Tc superconductivi
 ty. This material realizes a bilayer square lattice model featuring a stro
 ng interlayer hybridization unlike many unconventional superconductors. In
  this talk\, I will present a two-site cluster (dimer) dynamical mean-fiel
 d theory of La3Ni2O7 focusing on how nonlocal electronic correlations driv
 en by the interlayer hybridization affect the low-energy physics and the c
 oncomitant superconductivity.
