 rained to perform a range of tasks\, they incorporate temporal information
  and\, most important of all\, they can model the brain’s processes quit
 e well. However\, it is very difficult to understand how the connectivity 
 in RNNs give rise to the input-output mappings that they are able to perfo
 rm. In this talk\, we look at Ostojic Lab's work on a special family of RN
 Ns - low-rank RNNs. In the first part I will give an introduction to the t
 heoretical framework of RNN\, before explaining how the (sub)population st
 atistics give rise to dynamics [1\, 2]. In the second part Yashar will tak
 e over to explain how we can reverse-engineer the trained full RNN network
 s to produce the low-rank versions that matches the performance of the ful
 l-rank RNNs. Finally\, Yashar will talk about how RNNs are able to perform
