DESCRIPTION:Starting with the basic properties of pulsars and their pulses
 \, we go through the methodology underlying pulsar timing observations. We
  discuss the data analysis methods used to process timing residuals\, the 
 Hellings-Downs correlation between pairs of pulsars\, the new evidence sug
 gesting the detection of a SBGW\, and its possible cosmological interpreta
 tions. In particular\, we will take the example of cosmic strings as a pos
 sible early Universe interpretation.
