DESCRIPTION:Quantum Information has opened new possibilities for\ncommunic
 ations and computation. However\, there are still few applications\nof qua
 ntum information to computer network problems. In this talk\, I will\ndisc
 uss the place of the existing quantum communication protocols in the\nclas
 sical layered model for computer networks and argue that quantum\ninformat
 ion can also be applied to improve network performance. As an\nexample\, I
  will introduce a delayed commutation protocol that gives a\nquantum solut
 ion to the processing delay problem in packet switching\nnetworks. Additio
 nal protocols for multiple access and for transport layer\ntasks will also
  be discussed.
