DESCRIPTION:Herschel and SCUBA2 will soon begin survey science\, and are s
et to uncover 1000s of bright sub-mm galaxies. Here we demonstrate some of
the science that is likely to be gleaned from the multi-wavelength follow
-up of such sources. We have recently identified the brightest sub-mm gala
xy whose brightness (>100mJy) is due to the gravitational lensing effect o
 f a massive galaxy cluster. I show the multi-wavelength follow-up which ha
s been carried out to probe the internal properties of an intensely star-f
 orming galaxy at z=2.
