DESCRIPTION:Locomotion at a small scale through a complex ambient material
  is explored in the case where the yield stress\, or plasticity\, of the a
 mbient is a dominant feature. Various classical models for locomotion (squ
 irmers\, undulating cylinders\, helical motion) are revisited in this case
 \, and explored and analysed using numerical and theoretical modelling. So
 me implications for real swimmers\, and comparisons with experiments\, are
  discussed.\n
