DESCRIPTION:Unitarity and analyticity are some of the most fundamental pro
perties of S-matrix/quantum field theory. I will explain why these simple
properties can impose strong constraints on the Wilson coefficients/coupli
ng constants of a Lorentz invariant effective field theory. The central to
ol to use is the dispersion relations\, and stronger bounds can be extract
ed if the crossing symmetry and unitarity conditions are fully utilized. I
will discuss a couple of applications of these bounds in cosmology and pa
 rticle physics.
