DESCRIPTION:The relationship between categorifications of quantum knot pol
 ynomials          \nand Floer homology invariants is intriguing and still 
                           \npoorly-understood. In this talk\, I will discu
 ss a connection between            \nKhovanov's categorification of the re
 duced n-colored Jones polynomial           \nand sutured Floer homology\, 
 a relative version of Heegaard Floer                \nhomology recently de
 veloped by Andras Juhasz. As an application\, I              \nwill prove 
 that Khovanov's categorification detects the unknot when n           \n > 
 1.
