DESCRIPTION:Fibrous media are present in a variety of systems\, many invol
 ving an interaction with a liquid\, in particular with liquid-air interfac
 es (e.g. liquid absorption in paper\, impact of a drop on a cotton fabric\
 , filtration of droplets from an aerosol with a fibrous filter\, extrusion
  of fibrous gels\, papermaking…). I will illustrate some of the mechanis
 ms at play in such fiber-liquid interactions with several model experiment
 s\, from the flow of fiber suspensions to the imbibition of model fibrous 
 media.
