DESCRIPTION:Adapting existing manufacturing methods to emerging forms of l
arge-area electronics presents major technological and economic challenges
. Despite the difficulties\, several new processing concepts have gained g
round\, transforming the broader marketplace and relevant manufacturing in
frastructure. In this talk\, I will discuss our recent work toward advanci
ng scalable manufacturing of large-area electronics with nanometer-scale c
ritical device features. I will show how combining innovative patterning t
echnologies with scalable material processing methods and engineered nanom
aterials can lead to more sustainable optoelectronic devices with extraord
inary performance characteristics. Particular emphasis will be placed on d
eveloping scalable lithography techniques and their use in an expanding ra
nge of applications\, from ultra-fast optoelectronics to chemical reactors
  and biosensors.
