DESCRIPTION:Scale invariance\, a concept initially introduced in high-ener
gy physics\, has gained numerous applications in the physics of quantum fl
uids. It can be used to describe strongly interacting Fermi gases\, two-di
mensional Bose gases\, as well as few-body systems that exhibit the "Efimo
v effect." This presentation will demonstrate how scale and conformal inva
riance emerge in cold atomic gases. Examples will be provided from a range
of fields\, including thermodynamics\, soliton physics\, and specific str
uctures with periodic time evolution\, known as "breathers".
