DESCRIPTION:This is the first in a series of seminars seeking to relate th
 e arts\, humanities and social sciences to the Christian faith. The semina
 r will take the form of a presentation followed by open discussion. All we
 lcome.\n\nOur speaker\, Dr Alan Storkey studied economics at the Universit
 y of Cambridge\, sociology at the London School of Economics and education
  at the University of Nottingham. He earned his PhD from the Vrije Univers
 iteit\, Amsterdam in the philosophy of economics and has taught and resear
 ched sociology at the University of Stirling. He now works part-time as an
  artist and part-time as a freelance writer and lecturer.\n\nThis seminar 
 is hosted by CHAS (Christians in the Humanities\, Arts and Social Sciences
 )\, an informal network of graduate students in Cambridge who seek to rela
