DESCRIPTION:Alzheimer's disease is the leading cause of dementia\, affecti
 ng over 35 million people worldwide. Although genetic\, biochemical and an
 atomical defects have been identified\, there is no unifying model that ex
 plains the initiation and progression of the disease. My talk will provide
  a background on Alzheimer's disease and introduce the model organism C. e
 legans\, a small nematode worm that I am using to develop a model of the m
 olecular interactions in Alzheimer's disease.
