DESCRIPTION:Over the past decade\, a coherent set of discrepancies with re
spect to the SM predictions of decays where a b quark turns into an s quar
k and a dilepton pair sparkled extensive theoretical and experimental acti
vity in the particle physics community. In this talk I will present my con
tributions to this research field. These span from experimental efforts ai
med at performing lepton flavor universality measurements in previously un
explored kinematic regions to the validation of the dedicated tool employe
d by experimental collaborations to handle final state radiation of light
 leptons in B meson decays.
