DESCRIPTION:Will will stream *ISMRM-23 "Advances in fMRI" Educational Cour
se's session* on _"BOLD & Non-BOLD Contrasts in Human fMRI"_ by _Sriranga
Kashyap (Krembil Brain Institute\, Toronto)_. Let's watch it together and
 discuss it afterwards!\n\n\n\n*Abstract:* _FMRI is a non-invasive method t
hat allows scientists to study the brain function during task or at rest.
The BOLD contrast is the workhorse of functional neuroimaging. A cascade o
f physiological events following neuronal activity (changes in blood oxyge
nation\, flow and volume) culminates in the BOLD signal. The versatility o
f MRI enables imaging of blood flow and volume using techniques such as Ar
terial Spin Labelling (ASL) and Vascular Space Occupancy (VASO) respective
ly. In this talk\, we will learn about BOLD and non-BOLD contrasts (CBF\,
CBV)\, discuss what they offer and how they differ in their application to
human fMRI._\n\n*Venue:* MRC CBU Lecture Theatre and Zoom https://us02web
