DESCRIPTION:In this lecture\, I will explore the use of mixed research met
 hods in economic geography\, drawing on my research on land value capture 
 in English local governance. I will reflect on the need to open up methodo
 logical silos and argue that integrating qualitative and quantitative meth
 ods strengthens our understanding of causal mechanisms and research questi
 ons of interest to economic geographers.\n
