DESCRIPTION:In a two talks presentation we propose to explain how random w
alks organize to produce excess folding\, and how to estimate the tails of
their local times on two basic examples: the simple random walk\, and bra
nching random walks.\n\nThe first talk will present motivation\, models an
d results\, whereas the second will focus on branching random walk and hig
hlights differences with simple random walk\, either at the level of hitti
ng times\, or at the level of the tails of local times both in transient d
 imensions and in critical ones.
