DESCRIPTION:The connection between the Gaussian free field and dimer model
s is well-known. Under a certain pullback\, the Gaussian free field descri
bes the fluctuations of the height function around its\n limit shape in th
e rough phase of the dimer model. Recently\, there\n has been an increase
in interest in non-conformal perturbations of\n lattice models at critical
ity. In the dimer model\, this\n corresponds to the study of the height fi
eld at a rough-smooth\n transition. Renormalisation group heuristics lead
to the belief\n that the continuum field at this transition was described
by a\n massive Gaussian free field. However\, this is not the case. Indeed
\,\n we develop a connection between the height field at this transition\n
and the sine-Gordon field at the free fermion point.
