DESCRIPTION:While spoken language is critical to the art form of drama\, w
ithin drama research talk is often marginalised. This seminar will highlig
ht the value of formalising the role of conversation in the data analysis
stages of qualitative research. In particular it will examine how collabor
ative dialogue might lead to a “thickening” of the data and the develo
pment of outcomes that are reflective of a process that has made use of wh
at Sawyer (2006) calls collaborative creativity. A longitudinal video-ethn
ography project which examined the dramatic play of one group of preadoles
cent girls will be used as the focus for this discussion. \n\nBiography\n\
