DESCRIPTION:About one year ago Horava proposed a power-counting renormaliz
 able\ntheory of quantum gravity which abandons local Lorentz invariance. T
 he\nproposal has been received with growing interest and resulted in\nvari
 ous different versions of Horava--Lifshitz gravity theories\ninvolving a c
 olourful potpourri of new terminology. In this seminar we\nfirst motivate 
 and briefly overview the various different approaches\,\nclarifying their 
 differences and similarities. We then focus on a\nmodel referred to as pro
 jectable Horava-Lifshitz gravity and summarize\nthe key results regarding 
 its viability.\n
