DESCRIPTION:The detected explanted systems show orbital characteristic qui
te different to our solar systems. While planets in solar systems are in n
ear-circular orbits and have a moderate distance to the sun\, lots of exop
lanets locate either in close-in orbits\, or in eccentric orbits. To under
standing the underlying factors\, we performed N-body simulation on the la
te stage planet formation. Some major signatures of the observed eoxplanet
s are reproduced\, especially the eccentricity-semimajor relation. We also
find that the depletion timescale of protoplanetary disk makes the differ
ence between the solar system and exoplanet systems. A planetary category
is proposed according to this effect.
