DESCRIPTION:I'm excited to announce that *Dr. Charlotte Simmonds* from Kav
li/Cavendish\, will be delivering the third talk of our Astro Career Talk
Series on *Friday\, 3th May from 3:30-4:30 PM*. \n\n*Dr. Charlotte Simmond
s' short bio*:\n\nMy name is Charlotte Simmonds\, I grew up in Chile and h
ave had a very non-linear career path. I am currently a Kavli/Cavendish po
stdoc working on understanding the ionising properties of galaxies at the
Epoch of Reionisation\, mostly through JWST NIRCam photometry. As an obser
vational astronomer\, my research spans galaxy evolution\, data processing
\, and cutting-edge instrumentation. I obtained my Astronomy bachelor degr
ee in Chile (PUC)\, and later went on to get a PhD in the University of Ge
 neva\, in Switzerland. \n\nBefore being an astronomer\, I did many things\
, one of them was to be a high school music teacher. From that time I hold
bachelor degrees in Music and in Education. The latter is still my greate
st passion and I incorporate outreach and education into my career as much
as possible. While obtaining my degrees I had to work on basically anythi
ng I could to make a living\, so I have work experience in the service ind
 ustry\, as a translator\, as a musician for events\, as a violoncello tuto
r\, and other weird random things. \n\nApart from my non-linear education
and career path\, I am also passionate to talk about:\n\n* Understanding y
ourself and identify your strengths (and its application on career choices
\, and its impact on wellbeing)\n\n* Live with chronic mental illness\n\n*
Work-life balance\, impostor syndrome and time management\n\n*Here's the
