DESCRIPTION:Computer forensics is the application of computer investigatio
n and analysis techniques to gather evidence suitable for presentation in
a court of law. The goal of computer forensics is to perform a structured
investigation while maintaining a documented chain of evidence to find out
exactly what happened on a computer and who was responsible for it. Organ
isations employ the use of computer forensics to identify breaches in info
rmation security or internal computer usage policy.\n\nThis presentation i
dentifies what steps an organisation needs to take in order to mitigate in
formation risk\, reputational damage and financial losses. Using real worl
d examples\, it will educate users how simple security measures can protec
t key assets\, how internet monitoring can provide an effective early warn
ing of business threat and\, critically\, how to take effective forensic i
ncident response actions.\n\n*Note: This is a joint event by IET\, BCS and
  ACM*
