DESCRIPTION:Graham Ward is head of the school of Arts\, Histories and Cult
 ures at Manchester University and professor of Contextual Theology and Eth
 ics. He has written on the theology of language\, postmodernism\, cultural
  analysis and Christology. His many books include Barth\, Derrida and the 
 language of theology (Cambridge University Press\, 1995)\; Cities of God (
 Routledge\, 2000)\; and Cultural Transformation and Religious Practice (Ca
 mbridge University Press\, 2004)\, and he is now\, among other things\, in
 volved in a large international research project\, sponsored by the Britis
 h Academy\, concerned with examining 'The New Visibility of Religion in Eu
 ropean Democratic Culture'
