DESCRIPTION:Dr. Simon Mitton\, fellow of St. Edmunds College and author of
  the official biography of Fred Hoyle\, will be giving a talk to the Larmo
 r Society about one of St. John's most famous fellows\, having worked with
  him for many years. Hoyle is known for his work in stellar nucleosynthesi
 s\, but is most famous\nfor ironically coining the term "Big Bang"\, despi
 te to his deathbed believing it to be false\, and for clashing with many o
 f the most famous astronomers of the day over some of some of his more unu
 sual theories.\n\nThis talk is FREE for everyone.
