DESCRIPTION:The LHCb discovery of doubly charm tetraquark Tcc in 2021 spar
ked significant interest in theoretical\ninvestigations of doubly heavy te
traquarks. In our previous lattice QCD investigation (PRL 2021)\, we have\
ndemonstrated that at the unphysically heavy pion masses we work with\, th
e Tcc pole in the DD&ast\;\nscattering amplitude corresponds to a virtual
bound pole. It was later pointed out by Du et al.\, and\nothers that the p
resence of nonanalyticities arising out of Mandelstam u-channel off-shell
pion exchanges\,\ninvalidates some of the assumptions we have made in the
subthreshold region. In our recent work\,\nwe perform a study of quark mas
s dependence of the amplitudes following two approaches. One based on\nthe
vanilla effective range expansion\, and the next based on an effective fi
eld theory of interactions to\ndescribe the DD&ast\; scattering that incor
 porates the one-pion exchange process.\n
