DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will discuss a specific property of heterogen
 eous subdiffusion-reaction systems that there is no universal model descri
 bing reactions in subdiffusive media. It turned out that the coarse-graine
 d fractional subdiffusion-reaction equations depend on the details of the 
 underlying microscopic random walk models. The problem arises from the mem
 ory effects of subdiffusive transport systems. Due to these effects\, the 
 reaction can change the transport operator for the subdiffusion process. I
  will give several examples from physics and biology.
