DESCRIPTION:I will briefly summarise what we have learned in the past deca
 de about matching multiple models in concurrent dynamical simulations of m
 aterials. It is now clear that a remarkable convergence of ideas has taken
  place in the fields of solution chemistry\, quantum mechanical simulation
  of solids and atomistic/finite element coupling.
