DESCRIPTION:Eugene Simonov\, an expert and founding member of the Ukraine 
 War Environmental Consequences Work Group (UWEC) will talk about direct an
 d indirect environmental consequences of the war in Ukraine\, including ch
 emical pollution\, ecosystem and biodiversity destruction\, changes in env
 ironmental and climate policies in Ukraine\, Russia\, and other countries 
 in the world\, the war's impact on international cooperation in the area o
 f environmental protection and climate. Presentation will also feature the
  case-study on environmental consequences of the destruction of the dam at
  Kakhovska Hydroelectric Power Plant and nature conservation aspects of th
