DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will reveal a recent and unexpected connectio
 n between TDA and (relative) homological algebra and exact categories. Thi
 s connection has been leveraged to construct signed barcodes that exhibit 
 'stability' in ways that barcodes derived from M&ouml\;bius inversions can
 not. More broadly\, this framework can be used to create descriptors that 
 'probe' data for specific algebraic-topological features.
