 and have given rise to fundamental advances in fields where the applicatio
 ns are clear. This lecture collects together work from the sparser literat
 ure on hypergraphs in economic and financial systems\; production\, trade\
 , ownership\, and price dynamics can all be said to involve higher-order r
 elationships. The intention is to provide&nbsp\;references to existing wor
 k\, relevant background\, words of caution\, and pointers to relevant data
  on hyperedges of relevance to financial and economic systems.
