DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will describe some recent results on boson star
 s and related objects. In particular I will concentrate on the so called l
 -boson stars which are objects formed by an odd number of massive scalar f
 ields\, each with the same angular momentum number l but different project
 ions\, so that the full stress-energy tensor is spherically symmetric. I w
 ill also consider electrically charged boson stars and discuss some of the
 ir most important properties.
