DESCRIPTION:As part of their processes of political transition\, both Rwan
 da and Burundi have been confronted with the challenge of transitional jus
 tice: How to come to terms with a past marked by human rights atrocities. 
 Despite a number of apparent similarities\, both countries have adopted re
 markably different approaches in dealing with their respective pasts. In t
 his seminar\, objectives\, instruments\, actors\, dynamics and political (
 ab)uses of the transitional justice policies and mechanisms employed in th
