DESCRIPTION:We establish the existence of local strong solutions to the st
 ochastic Navier-Stokes equations in $R^3$.\n When the noise is  multiplica
 tive and non-degenerate\, we show the existence of global solutions in pro
 bability\nif the initial data are sufficiently small. Our results are exte
 ntion of the well-known results for the deterministic\nNavier-Stokes equat
 ions in $R^3$.
