DESCRIPTION:The origin and evolution of supermassive black holes as well a
s their interaction with their host galaxies still holds many unanswered q
uestions. The launch of JWST was expected to shed more light on this domai
n by probing the low mass\, low luminosity end of the active galactic nucl
ei (AGN) distribution – a regime missed by previous all sky surveys whic
h were sensitive only to the brightest objects. I will present the sample
of AGN found by the JADES survey. Highlighting certain peculiar properties
displayed by this newly discovered population. Most notable of these bein
g their offset compared to the local black hole mass – stellar mass rela
tion and significant X-ray weakness. I will also present two notable objec
ts that exhibit these properties in the most extreme manner and discuss th
eir implications on black hole formation accretion disk radiation models.
