DESCRIPTION:First\, I will present physical evidence of anomalous super-di
ffusion (that is\, faster-than-normal diffusion) in low-dimensional system
s of interacting particles and a non-rigorous (but very instructive and in
spiring) scaling argument from the physics literature of the 1970-ies whic
 h provides a precise and convincing "big-picture".&nbsp\;Second\, I will p
resent some model-examples (self-interacting walks and diffusions with lon
g memory\, random walks and diffusions in random media) where the predicti
ons of the scaling argument can be either rigorously established\, or appr
oximated (by super-diffusive bounds) in a mathematically rigorous way.&nbs
