ions of boson star mergers - Tamara Evstafyveva\, University of Cambridge

DESCRIPTION:Gravitational-wave signals detected to date are commonly inter
preted under the paradigm that they originate from pairs of black holes or
neutron stars. In this talk I will explore the alternative scenario of bo
son-star signals being present in the data stream and address the question
s of whether they could be detected and differentiated from gravitational
wave signals from binary black holes and neutron stars. I will then discus
s the prospects and challenges of the research programmes targeting the te
 sts of the GR+SM paradigm
