DESCRIPTION:In 2019\, Lord Howe Island was the site of the first ever larg
 e-scale eradication of rodents on a permanently inhabited island. Examinin
 g the political ecology of the Lord Howe Island Rodent Eradication Project
 \, this talk explores the social controversy that coalesced around the era
 dication. Through the lens of haunting\, I examine the lingering presence 
 of both rodents and the eradication within the community and show the enta
 nglements of human and non-human belonging.
